Reasons to go for Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)

Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) is a basic level certificate provided by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). A rather recent certification, ECBA has proven to be a reliable and reputable certification for individuals interested in the industry of business analysis. 

As the name suggests, this certification is basically for individuals that are just at an entry-level position in the industry. No prior experience is required to qualify to take the ECBA exam. 

PMP certification varies greatly from the ECBA certification. The difference can be noted from the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria

·        An account has to be registered with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).


·        A minimum of 21 hours of Professional Development (PD) within four years.

·        The candidate also has to agree with the terms and conditions of the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA).


·        No prior work experience required.
